Ok, here is the official tour guide book take on Phuket Town "Ok so we couldn't find a tour book that said anything about Phuket Town it self, other then its the location of the "Phuket Vegetarian Festival" it is not exactly a hot spot on the tourist list. When we tried to find something on Phuket Town we just got redirected to one of the islands tourist spots, Oh well, maybe that's why I like it " Ok, here is our general take on Phuket Town Phuket Town is busy, crowded, noisy, overdeveloped, but this is the Thailand I know! Phuket Town is definitely off most tourist destination points and rarely do you see Farangs taking part of its night life, most just stay in Patong or Kata/Karon. But to us that's what makes it so much fun, and it has everything, massage parlors, cheap short times, gentlemen's clubs and Karaoke clubs. With the expectation of some of the Gentleman's Clubs all are reasonability priced and fun as hell because your not one of tens of thousands of Farangs like in Patong. Plus here you get back to more of the Thai style of things, you know that we have said that Thai's don't like to get angry because it shows a lack of control and they lose face, hell go to Patong for a night and you will see that tradition fly out the window very quickly. In Phuket Town, it is much more Thai and I think much friendlier, coming to Phuket? Go to Phuket Town.
The downside of coming to Phuket Town The only
thing about Phuket Town that I don't care for is that its a bitch to get
around on your own. The streets are like a maze and too many
accidents to talk about. Our advise is to get a car from where you
are staying and just cruse the town one night, or take a tuk tuk to
Phuket Town then take motorbike taxies to where you want to go.
All of them will know the main spots, Pearl Hotel, Pink Lady, JS Café,
etc. etc. etc.... no problem, it really is the easiest way. Not
much English spoken here, you will struggle with the ladies and their
English, but hey this is Phuket not Cornwell.
Pink Lady They have a normal bar downstairs with the Gentlemen's club upstairs. When you go up stairs you will be shown to a table and lined up in front of you will be 50 or so ladies for you to choose from. When you have chosen your lady you can do one of two things. One, go to one of their privet rooms and drink and party with the lady there or you can just pay the fee and take her with you. Going to one of the rooms will be a little expensive as they charge you for the room plus drinks (drink prices are steep) all this is not counting towards the price of the lady. Chamwau This is located in the Metropole Hotel on the bottom floor. This club is fashioned after the clubs in Bangkok and is very posh and expensive with the girls running at 4,000bht and up. They do have some fine looking women which they bring down from Bangkok from their club there. Upscale, expensive but the finest looking women I have seen in Phuket. When you come up to one of these places the 1st thing that you will see is a board with all the ladies that are working pictures on it. You will be lead to a table and asked to order drinks, don't worry the drinks are very cheap and not marked up like the Gentlemen's Clubs. You will notice a Large stage where the girls get up in groups of one, two or three, and sing Thai songs in very sexy outfits. This is as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. If you just go in to drink and look it is very cheap but if you start buying the ladies flowers then it can become very expensive. The way it works is when a girl is on stage singing and you like her you can buy her flowers to put around their necks. The flowers start at 100bht and can go all the way up to 5,000bht. Don't go out of control a 100bht is enough to get them to come over and sit you with and talk to see if you like them or not. I think that I should point out now that these are not whores but you can definitely hook up with them. And I should rephrase the last statement as not all are working girls because some you can definitely set a price for prearranging sex but this will not be cheap. The best way to get these girls is to go to the bar have some drinks pick one that you like then buy her some flowers over the course of the night, don't go overboard it is very easy to spend 4,000bht on flowers in no time but this is not necessary. Then when the bar is ready to close ask her to come with you, 50/50 that she will, if she likes you, yep your in there for some free sex.
The Short Time Street Soi 11
Everyone always talks about the 5 dollar short times in Cambodia, ok, this is the one of our big secrets about Phuket, 5 dollar short times!! including the room!! The picture here was taken during the day so you really can't see it but there are small shops on both sides of the road. They will have a door and open windows for you to look in at about 20 girls in each place. The women inside are not the beauty queens that you can find else where, most do not speak a lick of English and most are right out of the rice fields but you find some cuties. Don't be turned off by the location and the appearance, this place is safe, it kind of has that back ally feel to it but that is intentional, this place is very low key. You can walk up and down the road to look at the ladies inside till you find one that you like. When you find one just go inside and talk to the Mama or Papa san, you can even sit at one of the tables and order a large beer or a large beer not much else. The going price for a lady is 300bht but they might charge you 400bht being a farang, these guys cater to the Thais mostly. Once you find and pay for a girl she will lead you down the road to the rooms, don't freak out its about a block away but it is safe. Getting to the room the girl will show you the common bath where you can wash together and return to the room for the deed. Some warnings are, take your wallet with you to the shower, and this is one place you want to use a condom! To get here just ask a motorbike taxi, in Phuket Town, to take you to Soi 11, if your in a car just pay him and follow him, he will know where it is for sure. And the last thing is that they don't open till 8pm so no use going till then. This is a great place to cop a nut before heading out to party for the rest of the night.
